Shaolin Kempo Karate

We provide instruction for individuals ages four to adult. Our Kempo Karate system is made up of a hard and a soft style of martial art. The soft style is the Chinese Martial Art of Shaolin Fist Way Kung Fu. This style is circular in nature and makes use of the Five Animals: the Leopard, Tiger, Crane, Dragon and Snake.
We are affiliated with one of the oldest schools in Canada in the Canadian Karate and Kung Fu Association under the direction of Sigung Dave Chong. The other half is an Okinawan discipline that makes use of hard linear motions that is known as Shotokan Karate.
Our eclectic style of Shaolin Kempo Karate also has influences of Tae Kwon Do, Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Thai Boxing and Kobujitsu.
Here are some of the benefits of training under the United Martial Arts Club Kempo Karate Program:

    • Provides a means to defend yourself
    • Increased self esteem
    • Helps to create a healthier lifestyl
    • Shapes mind, body, and soul
    • Is an excellent way to reduce stress

Kids benefit from UMAC’s Shaolin Kempo Karate program by:
