EXPERIENCE & ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Ted Yearwood started training in Oshawa in Issei Kempo under Sensei Bob Henry (a student of Sensei Vic Arnold) late in 1988. Competed in sparring in open tournaments placing well in the kata divisions. • Left Issei Kempo in July 1994 & came to United Martial Arts Club in August 1994 to train under O Sensei Louie Milonas & Sensei Richard Hamori.

Within the last 10 years, Ted has worked Security for 5 years in a variety of downtown clubs. He has taught self-defense to women, high school students, other security personnel & police officers. He now specializes in self-defense, kata, & the 5 Animal forms of Shaolin.

  • Began Martial Arts career in late 1988 (Issei Kempo)

  • Competed in “full contact” sparring
  • Began weapons training (Kobujitsu)

  • Holds a second degree black belt in Shaolin Fist way Kempo
  • Working toward first degree in Kitsune Ryu Jiu jitsu
  • Specializes in self-defense, kata, and kung fu forms
  • Certified personal trainer specializing in pre and postnatal fitness
